  About Egyptian association of pediatrics
The Egyptian association of pediatrics was founded in Alexandria by the joint efforts of Alexandria university faculty of medicine's pediatric department staff under The Ministry Of Social Solidarity. The Association had been registered vide registration no 871./1983. The association aids and/or conducts effective, scientific and ethical research in pediatric medicine and disseminate latest research for enhancing its global acceptance.
  About the Journal

The Alexandria Journal of Pediatrics is an international peer-reviewed journal belonging to Alexandria Society of Pediatrics and Alexandria University Pediatric Department and published by Wolters Kluwer Inc, on behalf of the owner since 2017. The journal was inaugurated in 1986. The journal is concerned with the publication in the field of Pediatrics, concerning all pediatric subspecialities including pediatric surgery. It particularly focuses on problems concerning the developing countries but accept publications from all over the world.


The current focus of pediatric medicine research is on the evidence-based practices and universally acknowledged parameters, with special emphasis on documentation.

The journal is committed to meet the needs of readers and authors, to constantly improve the quality of content and maintain integrity of the academic records. It is determined to handle complications transparently by publications of acknowledgements consistent with established policies. The Journal ensures that research paper published has ethical clearance, no conflict of interest and discourages plagiarism and copyright violations.

This is an open access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.

Digital Archiving

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.

Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.

CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.


While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

  • "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.

  Scope of the journal

The journal is published biannually, but this is subject to future change according to the number of publications. The journal accepts original research articles, reviews, letter to editor, and case reports from all over the world. The details conditions for each is described in the online "instructions to author". All papers and research methods should be in accordance with the international ethical standards and the Helsinki Declarations in this context. An informed consent should be obtained from patients' parents/legal guardians whenever appropriate.

All articles including promotional materials will not be accepted. A copyright will be signed by the authors and sent to the journal on acceptance of publication.

No responsibility of Alexandria Journal of Pediatrics nor Wolters Kluwer concerning the application of the published results, methods or drug dosages or any practical parts published in the journal if applied elsewhere in qany hospital, institution, individual therapy or otherwise. This will be the responsibility of the authors.
